Second half of '08 and we started to experience what we were all waiting for - recession. Our business is directly connected to the housing market. About 25% of our business involves transportation of goods from recently sold properties or to recently bought properties. We have all seen turn in economy over last few months and many companies like ours were seriously affected by this.
We have noticed sharp downfall in quantity of orders related to buying and selling houses. In the other hand having competitive and reasonable removal prices, we have noted much bigger interest in our basic services - mostly related to smaller moves.
More and more people (especially young) decide to rent places as they cannot afford to buy their own. This significantly increases demand for small and low priced transportation.
